When trespassers occupy your land without authority you can seek an Order for Repossession of your land through the County or High Court. The procedure is similar either through the County or High Court. It is normal practice to have a solicitor or barrister to make the application to the court. There is a set procedure of service of the documents that has to be followed in accordance with the direction of the courts.
Going through the courts can take much longer than using Common Law and can be more expensive. A Court Repossession Order prohibits the trespassers from returning to the land within 3 months but in practice this is of little value as such Order are mostly ignored. A further problem with the Orders is the need to identify that it is the same group of travellers that occupied the land when the Court Repossession Order was made. This is a serious problem as travellers change their vehicles very often.
In essence other traveller groups can also trespass on the land so the same Court procedure has to process again.

If you need security officers on or nearby the site incursion we can provide that for you. In the aftermath if you need concrete barriers to seal the site from further trespass we can provide that.
Caution. Please use professionals to carry out this process as inexperienced people can quickly make the situation much worse than it is. Do not take any action (e.g. blocking them in) which might antagonise them or worse, prior to our visit to them.
