Parking and Traffic Management Services
Regulated Parking and Traffic Management (RPTM)
Regulated Parking and Traffic Management (RPTM) monitor unauthorised parking / parking without a permit / and exceeding time limit for parking, on private property. We activately manage these matters by operating various services such as, ticket distribution (manual or machine), wheel clamping, and a tow away service for the vehicles that are in breach of them.
We will only deal with vehicles within the restricted area as authorised by the Client. This is shown on a site plan. Wheel clamping or tow away services will only take place within the given times and days authorised by the client.
RPTM will only operate clamping / removal services where appropriate warning signing has been erected and is clearly visible to the drivers of vehicles. Each sign will conform to the Code of Practice and show the free number and the release fee.
Operatives will always wear high viz jackets identifying the company, and produce identification on demand.
OUR VEHICLE WHEEL CLAMPING / REMOVAL PROCEDURES
When
a vehicle is found to be parked on the clients land and is not
authorised to be there a wheel clamp will be fitted to a wheel of the
vehicle.
An ‘Unauthorised Parking on Private Land’ (UPPL) notice will be made out (in duplicate), showing the vehicle details. The Notice tells the driver what they have done wrong and that they must pay a release fee. THEY ARE GIVEN OUR FREE NUMBER to contact us.
A ‘STOP CLAMPED’ Notice will be put on either side of the UPPL notice all of which will be placed inside a plastic see through envelope which will be folded to A5 size. This WILL be placed firmly under the drivers windscreen wiper, taking care not to damage it. The ‘Stopped clamped’ notices show through the plastic envelope both to the front and the back of it.
To have a wheel clamp released
To have the wheel clamp released the MOTORIST must contact us by the free number provided. We will establish that the driver has the release fee ready for payment and will contact the operative whilst the driver is on the phone to arrange a meeting time at the location. This will be done as quickly as possible.
Vehicle removal
Should the motorist fail to pay the release fee or does not return to the vehicle within a reasonable time (time agreed in advance by the client), we will have the vehicle towed away and stored. The vehicle will not then be released from storage until all fees are paid including towing and storage fees.
CERTAIN TYPES OF VEHICLE WILL NOT BE CLAMPED E.G. EMERGENCY VEHICLES AND THESE WILL BE AGREED WITH THE CLIENT IN ADVANCE
The cost to you
You pay nothing at all for the montioring, attendance of the operatives, or the clamping or towing away, and storage of the vehicles. All this is paid for by the offender in their release fee. You pay £1 per week rental for each sign to be displayed. If you require us to provide parking permits there is a small administration charge of 50p each.
