Lone Worker Protection - a duty of care

Lone workers have a right to be protected in accordance with British Standard for the Protection of Lone Workers, BS8484, if you employ and have lone workers of any sort, who could be at risk during the course of the normal working activity they have to be protected. We offer you our support services which will provide for your ‘duty of care’ for your lone workers.

We provide a 24/7 emergency Control Centre and Response Team and no matter what time of day or night, on every night of the year, we are available to carry out the following risk control measures:-

• Risk assessment for lone workers
  
  
• Take on duty and off duty calls via our 24/7 control centre. (All call history is available)
  
  
• Take safety check calls on an hourly basis to provide you and the lone worker the comfort of knowing that someone is watching out for them.
  
  
• Respond positively if the lone worker fails to make a pre determined call.
  
  
• Respond to a panic alarm that the lone worker can carry and assist the lone worker who may be in trouble.
  
  
• Trace the lone worker to within a few yards if they fail to make their call and send out security personnel to provide assistance if necessary.
  
  
• Record site visit monitoring checks showing the time and date the worker visited the site.
  
  
• Use of vehicle trackers to see where a vehicle is at any time and create a log of where the vehicle has travelled and the times and date at any location.
  
  
• Provide security officers to help unlock or lock up premises at start or finish times or when a lone worker is called out to an incident
  (Alternatively we can provide a key holder response service)
